Grouper - Panther Grouper

The Panther Grouper, with its color pattern, unusual appearance, amusing swimming behavior, this is a favorite fish among aquarists. It is a bold, long-lived species suitable for aquarists at all levels. Although juveniles are a tempting acquisition for smaller tanks, it is essential to know that they grow rapidly and very large if fed frequently. Requires hiding places and a tank of at least 180 gallons to house the species for its entire life. Rarely aggressive, it will ignore its fish tankmates unless they are small enough to swallow whole. Several adults can be housed together in a large aquarium. PP For reefs, generally safe, but monitor. They will eat ornamental crustaceans and fish tankmates small enough to swallow whole. Feed meaty foods (2-3x / week), including small marine fish and crustacean flesh. (Credit - "A Pocket Expert Guide, Marine Fishes")
